An illustrated poster for De Niro vs Pacino Film Season at the Light House Cinema, Dublin needed to communicate key info about the screenings in a legible way and also be adaptable across lots of different media (including the cinema entrance wall, social media, press, cinema screen etc.) The final design featured portraits of the two actors in iconic character poses that highlighted two of the more well-known films from the season. The design style and typography references vintage boxing posters to add a sense of drama and confrontation. Communication throughout the campaign encouraged cinema goers to pick sides and come out to support their favourite. This retro approach also tied in well with the fact that the movie screenings celebrated earlier work by De Niro and Pacino as opposed to their more recent films.
