City Of Physics

The City of Physics campaign by the Trinity College of Dublin Science department and Intel aimed to foster curiosity in science and physics throughout the city, using illustrations as a visually arresting entry point. High traffic areas in Dublin were mapped out and sight specific illustration installations were created. Complex concepts and ideas were distilled into easy to digest visuals that encourage the public’s curiosity. Four vinyl wrapped traffic light boxes, one hand-painted traffic light box and an 8 x 3 mural appeared at six selected locations. Hand painting one of the boxes created a chance to engage with the public and have a chat about the project and its background. The large scale mural was designed to highlight the City of Physics campaign while acting as an artistic temporary addition to the Trinity College Campus.
