AAI AWARDS 2016

The design provides a showcase of the winners and special mentions of the 2016 Architecture Awards of Ireland. The exhibition was located within the Coach House building in Dublin Castle. As the Architecture Association of Ireland have no premises themselves and rely on volunteers, the exhibition design would need to be something that could be quickly installed, easily transported to the site and small enough that it could be stored throughout the year. A decision was made to suspend the exhibition centrally off galvanised wires so as not to hide the beautiful brick walls. Sheets are folded and glued as opposed to using bulldog clips to maintain a minimalistic look. The exhibition is designed to be almost like a cloud within the space, one could explore it, get lost in it and become part of the exhibition.
