Modular Boardroom Table

I3PT Certification required a multi-functional boardroom. Due to their expansion, the boardroom needed to be as flexible as possible. A modular table, which could adapt, change and evolve in parallel with the company was the solution. Raw steel, reflecting the company’s involvement in the construction sector was the chosen material. The table is made up of six identical modules. Each a right-angled isosceles triangle which was fabricated off-site from 6mm hot-rolled mild steel. These are supported on three triangular legs of the same material, which converge at a central point. The table can be arranged in a multitude of organisations and sizes. The table appears different from every angle; new and interesting geometries appear as you move around the room. It’s thin and at certain angles it almost disappears. The natural pattern which emerges on the steel from the fabrication process was maintained and highlighted.
